“You” - Spoken Word Poetry

You are enough

You are the sprinkles on top of an ice cream cone

You are the light to a candle with a cinnamon toasty scent

You are the mist that one feels during summer rains gently against their skin

If you fail

Don’t quit

Get up again and again

Because see you deserve to feel complete and full

A fullness that is sooo contagious

One that sparks motive, reason and why all around you

Your vivacity is pure and your heart is pristine

The only thing left for you to do is to climb that mountain

Start with the dirt roads

And enter into the greenery

The breath taking serene will spill into trails and mile long valleys that you will travel, overtake and conquer

When you reach the steps to the mountain above

Take a deep breath

And tap into your why

Let your why spark a fuse as you climb one step at a time

Remember that you have the right to get lost

You have the right to be frightened

You have the right to be hesitant

You also have the right to feel lonely in this self growing and glowing place

But your courageous inner being will fight until the end

Through the hardships

Through the turmoil

Through the self-doubt

And through the company that taints your powerful aura

Until you reach your WIN
